Thank you for your patience as we went through the process of setting up events for the IHS Class of 1972 50th Reunion. The dates are Thursday, 10/20/22 through Sunday, 10/23/22. Below is a list of what events are set:
Our Host Hotel will be Embassy Suites El Paso. This location will not only give classmates a place to stay, but the hotel also has an open atrium with plenty of seating to visit and catchup with each other. Click here for Embassy Suites info. The link to book a room at the Embassy Suites is below.
Thursday, 10/20/22
- Morning: Golf. Richard Salas will be making all the arrangements for this event. Please contact him directly to find how to sign up. His email is richmsalas@hotmail.com
- Afternoon: Embassy Suites. Sign-in table will be set up in the Hotel Atrium to pick up nametags from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. We will have the nametags available at the other events if you cannot come by.
- Evening: Borderland Steakhouse. This will be a great time and place to kickoff our reunion. We will have exclusive access to the inside bar location and outside patio. There will be a buffet and entertainment. Click here for more info on Borderland Steakhouse
Friday, 10/21/22
- Noonish: Charcoaler Drive-In El Paso. This will be a fun afternoon of hanging out and having a burger and Lemon Dr Pepper. Charcoaler now has an inside seating area as well as a patio. The menu still has all the favorites that we were used to in high school. They also now serve beer and wine.
- Evening: Sergio & Irene Lewis’ Home. Sergio & Irene have graciously offered their home as the location for our Friday night gathering. We are excited to have such a wonderful location to mingle with fellow classmates and take in the outstanding views of the city.
Saturday, 10/22/22
- Morning: Irvin High School. A lot has changed at Irvin since we were there. The recent remodel brought big changes in the way the school looks. It will be a good chance to see the changes that have been made.
- Evening: Embassy Suites El Paso. Our traditional dinner and dance will be at the Embassy Suites. This location is a great centrally located space for our event. Those staying at this hotel will have a nice short walk at the end of the evening.
Sunday, 10/23/22
- Morning: Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. (9025 Diana Drive) Fr Fred Bayler will be serving mass.
- Morning/Afternoon: Those still in town, we will check for a Brunch/Lunch location.
We are excited with what is set at this point, and we will also be providing information about other fun things to do while in El Paso.

Anyone wanting to make donation for our reunion, please do that on the donation page. We have a lot of costs associated with the reunion, so any donation will appreciated.
We want all our 1972 classmates to know about the reunion, so if you know someone that graduated with us and is not on social media, please make sure to share all the information with them.
